About the Show
Built on the Belief That Disagreement Is Healthy
Elevated Thoughts started with a simple idea: what if two people who see the world differently sat down — with the experts who live these topics — and actually listened? Not to win — but to understand.
The Hosts
Two Voices. One Mission.
Cooper Simmons
ConservativeCooper is the sharp and inquisitive conservative host behind Elevated Thoughts. An elevator expert by trade, he bridges blue-collar authenticity with white-collar insight. Known for his relentless skepticism and role as devil's advocate, he remains committed to challenging political narratives, particularly around election integrity, media bias, and the hidden forces shaping government decisions. Outside the studio, Cooper is a proud husband, father, and entrepreneur who enjoys hiking, skiing, golfing, and hanging out with his puggle.
Mike Marro
LiberalMike brings a unique blend of hands-on experience and intellectual curiosity to the podcast. Raised in a family of metal recyclers, he grew up in a scrapyard where he learned the value of hard work and sustainability. Currently working in environmental compliance within the electronics recycling industry, Mike balances his professional life with a deep love for history, politics, and culture. Once a fiery progressive, he's since moderated but remains a staunch defender of liberal values, focused on fostering bipartisan conversations. When he's not deep in debate, Mike spends his time with his wife, newborn son, and a good book—often convincing his favorite authors to join him on the podcast!
The Format
How It Works
Pick the Topic
Each week we choose a topic that's making headlines — or one our listeners want to hear us debate. Nothing is off limits.
Bring in the Experts
We sit down with people who actually know the subject — authors, policy experts, journalists, and insiders — so the conversation goes deeper than talking points.
Have the Conversation
We talk it out like adults. We push back, we concede points, and sometimes we even change our minds. That's the whole point.
